When amylase changes the texture/viscosity of texture-modified food and drinks, it can increase the risk of choking and aspiration for people living with dysphagia. Our new Amylase Resistant formula eliminates these risks, improves the safety, quality, and taste of our products and supports better hydration and nutrition for people with dysphagia.

To minimise the effect of amylase on food and drinks, we developed our new patent-pending Amylase Resistant formula, which maintains the texture and viscosity of foods and drinks during consumption. For people living with dysphagia, our Amylase Resistant formula eliminates the risk of choking and aspiration, improves the safety, quality, and taste of our products, and supports better hydration and nutrition.
People with dysphagia (swallowing difficulties) can safely eat and drink by consuming texture modified foods and drinks. These may be thickened or softened to a specific viscosity/texture depending on the severity of their swallowing difficulty.
Unfortunately, most thickened foods and fluids use starch-based thickeners, which can be broken down by the amylase in saliva. This can result in changes to the viscosity of the food or fluid. Many people with dysphagia also eat and drink more slowly, giving the amylase more time to break down the thickener.
When a thickened food or drink becomes too thin, it can pose a choking and aspiration risk. This, in turn, can create an aversion to eating and drinking in people with dysphagia, which can lead to other health conditions like dehydration and malnutrition.
Our new Amylase Resistant formula, developed over five years as a result of advances in research, is not affected by amylase. This means our products maintain their texture/viscosity during consumption, and are now safer, better quality, and more delicious than ever.

To receive an unattended delivery, select ‘Authority to Leave’ on your order form, and provide the desired delivery location in the Order Notes section.
For a successful unattended delivery, please ensure access to your selected delivery location is unobstructed, and that there are no hazards (including unrestrained dogs) that could endanger our couriers.
Returns & Exchanges
If you think an item in your order is damaged, please take photos of the item that clearly depict the damage and contact our Customer Hub team.
Please don’t discard the damaged products unless our Customer Hub team have advised you to do so.
No. Unless the product has been damaged in transit or is faulty in some other way, you can’t return products that have been delivered.
If you have received damaged items, please contact us within seven (7) days of receiving the items.
If you believe your item may be missing in transit, please contact us within seven (7) days of the order failing to arrive. All Australian orders should arrive in two to seven days, so, if you haven’t received your order eight (8) or more days after ordering, please contact us immediately.
