Father's Day Full Breakfast

This full breakfast, complete with scrambled eggs, sausages, and bacon, is perfect for Father's Day and made for texture modified diets. Add a thickened orange juice for a classic breakfast in bed.

Ingredients
Bacon
- 200 g bacon
- 125 g water
- 3 scoops A Shape It
Tomato
- 200 g tomato passata
- 2 scoops A Shape It
- salt and pepper to taste
Sausages
- 500 g pork mince
- 5 g ground fennel
- 20 g crushed garlic
- 60 g red wine
- 125 g chicken stock
- 10 g honey
- 5 g dried oregano
- 5 g dried sage
- 1 scoop B Shape It to taste
Scrambled Eggs
- 3 tbsp full cream milk
- ½ scoop A Shape It
- 1 tsp butter
- 2 eggs
- ⅛ tsp Thick Plus
- salt and pepper to taste
Thickened Juice
- 170 mL orange juice
- 1 scoop or Sachet instant THICK Powder As per Dosage Guide
Instructions
Bacon
- Dice bacon and fry in a large fry pan for 5 minutes. Be careful not to make it too crispy as this will make it very difficult to blend
- Add water and Shape It to a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat and simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour mixture into a blender with the bacon. Blend on high speed for 3 minutes, scraping the sides as necessary.
- Pour into prepared mould or tray, cover with film or mould lid and refrigerate until set.
Tomato
- Add tomato passata and Shape It to a saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat and simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour into prepared half sphere mould or tray, cover with film or mould lid and refrigerate until set.
Sausages
- In a large fry pan, cook the pork mince over medium heat until the mince has changed colour.
- Add the red wine, spices and garlic cooking for 2 minutes to reduce the wine.
- Add the chicken stock and Shape It and bring to a boil. Simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and pour mixture into a blender. Blend until completely smooth on high speed for 3 minutes, scraping the sides as necessary.
- Pour into prepared mould or tray, cover with film or mould lid and refrigerate until set.
Scrambled Eggs
- Whisk the milk, butter and Shape It in a small, non-stick fry pan over medium heat. Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 2 minutes, stirring gently.
- Whisk in the eggs, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Continue to cook until the eggs have thickened, being careful not to overcook the eggs.
- Remove from the pan, place in a blender with Thick Plus. Blend until completely smooth on high speed for 3 minutes, scraping the sides as necessary.
- Season to taste and serve.
Thickened Juice
- Add the juice to a cup.
- Select scoop or sachet of instant THICK Powder and measure*.
- Whilst, stirring add the instant THICK Powder and stir until dissolved.
- Wait for 2 - 5 minutes, restir and serve.
